Gaurang has served as an investigator on NCD research projects funded by esteemed agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Wellcome Trust, UK Medical Research Council (MRC), UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), and the World Health Organization (WHO). Gaurang holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London (UK), a Master of Science (Msc) in Population Health from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Clinical Medicine from South Gujarat University, India
