Mojgan Gitimoghaddam, MD, PhD(c)

Associate Director

Mojgan is a trained physician (MD) and clinical epidemiologist (PhD) with over a decade of medical practice and more than twelve years of experience in clinical research across academic and industry settings. Her expertise includes mixed methods, observational, and qualitative research, as well as systematic and scoping reviews.

Mojgan has served as a research consultant and methodologist with Simon Fraser University’s Department of Applied Sciences and the BC ADHD Task Force. She earned her PhD from the University of British Columbia (UBC), where her research focused on the learning and development of children with developmental disabilities.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to a wide range of clinical research projects in roles such as research consultant, project manager, coordinator, and research assistant gaining comprehensive experience in all phases of research, from study design through to publication and knowledge translation. Most recently, she co-led and managed a large, multi-site, community-based longitudinal study across Canada as a Senior Project Manager at UBC.

In addition to her research work, she has been an Honorary Lecturer at UBC’s Faculty of Medicine for over five years, teaching undergraduate medical students. She also contributed to graduate education by developing and piloting a clinical research course for the Department of Medicine at UBC.
